The fifth artist for Memos #2 is the magnificent Abuk Lual 💛 ()

Abuk Lual (she/her/they) is a vibrant soul navigating the human experience. They are a nurturer, friend, daughter, sister, mentee and an ever-evolving student of life. Abuk grew up in the diaspora and is currently based in Boorloo. She is a lover of stories and her exploration of self and the unseen enrich the stories she tells. Her work touches on love, healing, trauma, blackness, queerness and femininity. Find her at abukofdreams.com and on instagram.

Our next Memos 2 artist is the one and only Jewel Owusu () 🌟

Jewel Owusu is a 21 year old singer/songwriter residing in Perth, Western Australia. Her love for music began at a young age, although she did not begin releasing music until 2020. Experimenting with a fusion of Indie, R&B and Pop - Jewel brings a sound that cannot be put into a box. Working closely with producer NAMESAKE, her debut EP, mantra is an expression of her journey with self acceptance, relationships and her spirituality. In the upcoming year, Jewel plans to bring new soulful material in collaboration with a range of
artists. In between working on new things, she enjoys playing gigs with her band.
