We had a great time at the Global Resources Innovation Expo in Perth this week, connecting with industry peers and exploring the tech driving the future of resources.

It was a privilege to showcase how TMT is integrating autonomous robotics into high-risk environments to deliver better safety and efficiency for the industry.

Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL), a refinery majority owned by Rio Tinto, has awarded TMT a contract to supply a Boltron Autonomous Fl**ge Bolting Robot, including site training and ongoing support.

Boltron is the only bolting robot capable of autonomously tightening and loosening both front and rear nuts on industrial heat exchanger fl**ges. This allows complete fl**ge management without manual torque handling.

By removing personnel from live fl**ge zones, Boltron significantly reduces manual handling risk and exposure to hazardous environments during critical maintenance activities.

Its automated torque control improves precision and consistency, reducing rework and shortening maintenance windows compared to conventional manual bolting methods.

We look forward to working with QAL to implement Boltron onsite and support safer, more efficient shutdown operations.
