It was fun getting back to basics and the joy I get out of puddle shots on the weekend. Not much else with photography has given me joy for a little while now.
So when I spotted the ship gliding past the puddle I couldn't resist getting the shot. Might even start venturing back our past Freo again and see what else sparks some joy :)

I had the day off today so I headed down to North Mole as it was such a beautiful morning. I saw this container ship coming into port so I took some photos. I also noticed the Leeuwin II back in the water for the first time since her collision ..... wait for it .... WITH THIS EXACT CONTAINER SHIP!!!!!

You can see the Leeuwin out at sea just in front of the Maersk Shekou's bow. How ironic that these two vessels are in the same patch of water again 12 months later.

I didn't realise what I had captured at the time of taking the photos and was surprised as how slowly the container ship came into port considering it was beautiful conditions on the water. Guess they don't take any chances with her anymore.

Also, it was so lovely seeing the Leeuwin under sail again. She's not fully restored yet, but looking much better than last time I saw her :)
