Villa San Matteo, nature and leisure in paradise
Time enters another dimension from the very first moment you step onto Crete. On the way from the airport to San Matteo, you start to become immersed in a dreamlike state in which time no longer seems to matter.
Villa San Matteo embodies a little paradise for those seeking close contact with nature , yet without sacrificing comfort and luxury.
Standing at the top of Cape Koutoula, this villa, designed with MD i, is one of the diamonds in the Elafonisi Villas collection. Painstaking attention has been given to the aesthetics of the house to offer its guests an exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable stay with a touch of bohemian chic. And the truth is that with its four sea-view bedrooms and an infinity pool that blends perfectly into the natural surroundings, Villa San Matteo is just made for switching off and chilling out.
In this context of boho luxury, MD i is the perfect material for the exteriors. Not only is it resistant to knocks and sudden changes of temperature, but it is also easy to clean and dovetails perfectly with the style and decoration chosen for this project.
The other decorative features - the hanging chairs, sun loungers, sofas, barbecue - complete the terrace to make this the perfect outdoor setting for enjoying the summer months that are just around the corner.

Design's transformative potential or how to humanize a hospital
Normally, when we think of a hospital we do not think of design; Nor do we imagine a warm or welcoming place ... The truth is that almost anyone you ask will answer that they are cold, insensitive buildings and where no one wants to be.
But sometimes the magic happens, sometimes we trust 100% in how interior design can transform our mood, and then projects like the one we present to you today at Inalcotrends are This clinic is a hospital unlike any other. Far from being cold, and although, of course, it respects the necessary spaces that every medical center needs, it is a place where design plays a fundamental role .
The mix of materials, colors and textures, the designer furniture and the use The Touché collection , with a timeless character, transmits the light and purity so necessary in a project of these characteristics, but it provides the elegance and delicacy that we are not used to seeing in traditional hospitals.of works of art create an atmosphere that is rather reminiscent of a large hotel reception.born .
Technically, thanks to its high resistance to abrasion, shocks and its easy maintenance , it is ideal to be laid as a floor in a place where many heavy objects are dragged and where the passage of people is continuous. In addition, Inalco surfaces are hygienic and prevent the proliferation of bacteria , being the perfect option for this type of project.
This work is a clear example of the great power of transformation of design, of how it can change spaces and even our lives.
10 tips for making your home eco-friendlier
To create an eco-friendly, sustainable home, there's no need for any drastic changes or over-the-top investment. Just the opposite – through a few simple everyday acts, you can make big changes that reduce your footprint on the planet.
Today, in Inalcotrends, we give ten tips on how to be eco-friendlier at home, with no great effort.
1. Don't forget any of the Rs!
The classic three “Rs” ( reduce , recycle and re-use ) have been extended to seven, with these new additions: reflect before you purchase anything, refuse non eco-friendly products, reconsider the source of what you buy (taking into account the principle of fair trade) and react by protesting at irresponsible environmental behavior.
2. Create your own personal green lung
There's no better way of cleaning and purifying the air than creating a corner of the home with plants . For it to really work, find a luminous spot where the plants aren't exposed to direct sunlight. To make it particularly attractive, you can also place the plants at different heights or contrast differing sized ones.
3. Buy seasonal produce
Buy local, organic , seasonal produce. Fruit and vegetables that are in season are tastier and cheaper than ones that aren't. What's more, by purchasing local produce, you'll be helping farmers in your area and contributing to their survival. Needless to say, this produce is also far healthier, it's not genetically modified, and it's animal and environmentally-friendly.
4. Don't waste the tiniest drop
Do you know how many liters of water are wasted if a tap is left on? One drop a second squanders about 30 liters of water a day , so instead of leaving that pesky cistern or tap to drip, get it fixed as soon as you can.
What's more, we also suggest that you shorten your showers , because too much water is wasted this way. There's no need to use up all the planet's hot water!
5. Buy BIG
We all know that small packages generate infinitely more waste than big ones and, proportionally, they're more expensive. Always bear this in mind when you buy food, drink, cleaning products and so on, and opt for big sizes.
Another alternative is to buy loose products and take your own containers. More and more supermarkets are offering this option and there are even shops that specialize in this. As well as generating less pollution , this system also saves on money.
6. Lighting is fine but save on energy too
Another simple step you can take at home is to change any conventional light bulbs for led ones. It's true that they're a bit more expensive, but they're long-lasting and you'll make really big energy savings.
7. Don't leave devices on stand-by
Be particularly careful not to leave electronic devices on when they're not in use. Try to make sure that everything is turned off and unplugged before you go out – you won't just save money on your electricity bill, you'll also reduce your daily carbon emissions.
8. Dress your home up as you would like to dress
For the sake of the environment and your own skin, make sure you buy bed linen (blankets, sheets, towels etc.) with an eco-label and / or linen that is not treated with toxic inks. Also check that it's made of natural fibers, like cotton or wool, because fabrics made from crude-oil by-products generate a lot of pollution.
9. Take advantage of nature
We know that not everyone can afford to invest large amounts in changing windows, building terraces or fitting solar panels. That's why we'd like to suggest a few simple ways of making good use of nature: by taking maximum advantage of sunlight , painting walls white or choosing another color with lots of luminosity, and opening windows at home to ensure good ventilation.
10 "Oven Day"
Ovens are one of the electrical appliances with the highest energy consumption in homes. That's why, when you turn the oven on, it's a good idea to cook several dishes at the same time to take full advantage of it. The oven's residual heat can be used to finish off the dishes and do not keep opening and closing the door because that way you'll lose most of the heat that has built up inside it.
These are just a few examples of the steps you can take in your home without investing large amounts of time, effort, or money. We urge you to rethink how you do things at home and to make it a far more sustainable place, because it may well be true that “nobody can do it all, but together we can all do something”.

Black and white never go out of fashion
Black and white are always on-trend in interior decoration, and even though they may be very basic colours, you can never go wrong with this choice . The fact is that when they are combined in the right way, they not only improve the quality of light but also increase the sense of spaciousness, and can turn a simple room into an understated modern space.
The main attributes of the use of black in interior design are sophistication and elegance . It is a color that tends to stylize spaces and its use in interiors adds a chic touch as well as distinction. In addition, decoration in shades of black also evokes a sense of prestige, as black is synonymous with luxury and exclusivity.
In contrast, shades of white evoke luminosity and help to create convivial spaces with a great sense of order and purity . A white room can be warm and welcoming as well as minimalist or futurist - everything depends on the décor you choose to complement the space.
Inalco has a considerable number of collections that feature these shades in their color palettes. You might opt for Silk if you want a single-color finish that is bound to hit the right tone, or perhaps Fiber if you prefer a more contemporary design . If you're thinking about a collection inspired by marble , you're likely to choose either Larsen, Syros or Touché , while if you're looking for a stone finish full of character we suggest the Azalai, Storm and Bloom collections.

Masai on La Moraleja
Today we want to showcase a project to extend a family home by Extudio and Volum Studio using the MDi Masai collection by Inalco.
The house originally built in the 1970’s on La Moraleja estate to the north of Madrid, was in need of a complete overhaul that would incorporate the latest high-tech features and meet the new requirements of a young family of five.
The main objective of the project was to achieve total continuity between the interior and exterior areas, as well as extending the usable terrace space. The stone colour of the MDi Masai collectiom by Inalco was the best option as it could be used to maximum effect both inside and outside the house. A garden was created next to the swimming pool that merges into a constantly-evolving wood which will improve the way the house blends into its surroundings as well as providing the necessary privacy.
Inside, Extudio and Volum Studio have created a practical open-plan design that brings more natural light into every room, achieved through a structure of compact volumes used both for those rooms that require greater privacy, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, and those for communal use. The refurbishment gave them the opportunity to make optimal use of the house’s exposure to the sun with the creation of a central staircase connecting the two floors around which the other spaces gravitate.

La Ópera by Miguel Martí dresses in Vint collection
When it comes to celebrating any event, we all want a spacious, beautiful place where you can also enjoy a fine dining experience. La Ópera, a space run by chef Miguel Martí, meets all these requirements and has just redesigned its banquet halls with Inalco.
From the beginning, a contemporary and modern interior design was proposed, using a single product with soft tones to provide continuity and elegance, which everyone could love and that would last over time.
Already at the entrance, the Vint collection accompanies us at every step and, as we move forward, it extends climbing the walls like a vine of pure elegance. It is right in front of these walls where Bloom collection joins the set through large black counters. The large rear mirrors provide light and spaciousness and enhance the elegance of the banquet halls.
Thanks to the versatility of the MDi product we can also find Vint in the bathrooms, not only on the floor and wall, but also in the washbasins designed ad hoc.
As you can see in the images, the use of a single collection in this project achieves an outstanding result, creating spaces where beauty and serenity reign … spaces where you really want to be, stay and enjoy.
