Bicton General Practice

We are seeking a professional, dedicated and experienced medical receptionist for our small family practice located in Bicton.

Previous medical reception experience is required. Experience with Best Practice software is essential.

Shifts will include opening and closing the practice which operates Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Flexibility to cover during periods of annual leave and sick leave is essential.

We are a close knit team working in a supportive and professional environment. The position would suit a mature-minded individual that thrives in providing optimal support and care to doctors and patients alike with the ability to work autonomously during shifts.

We are a mixed billing practice, so experience with private billing as well as an understanding of Medicare billing is advantageous.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

Assisting doctors and clinical staff with administration
Answering calls and booking appointments
Providing exceptional customer service
Arriving patients, ensuring paperwork is completed and demographics are up to date
Private billing of patients
Billing and batching to Medicare
Maintenance of paper filing system
Scanning, faxing and maintenance of patient files
Providing computer and software support to the doctors
Opening or closing of the clinic

Must hold a current vaccination certification.
Hours are 4 days a week 8:30am - 1:30pm with opportunity to cover leave at one of our other practices.
