โœˆ๏ธ WA Fire Protection has extensive experience working with the aviation sector in Australia.

Fire is a significant safety hazard for the civil, commercial and military aviation industry.

Fire prevention activities to reduce the likelihood of fire must take place continuously in all areas of this industry.

This requires effective identification, management and control of ignition sources and combustible materials by terminal staff to ensure that fire hazards are identified and removed.

All fire protection equipment and high hazard suppression systems owned and operated by terminal tenants (e.g. portable fire extinguishers and suppression system) must be inspected, tested and maintained in accordance with the requirements of Australian Standard AS1851 โ€“ 2012: Maintenance of Fire Protection Equipment.

WATCH: Fire rips through car after three-vehicle crash 20/05/2022

A car has become a ball of flames and smoke following a crash in Perthโ€™s north this afternoon, with three people on their way to hospital.

Three cars were involved in an accident at the intersection of Marmion Avenue and Whittington Avenue, on the border of Carine and Watermans Bay, about 3.30pm, authorities said.

The engine bay of one of the cars subsequently caught fire, sending flames rippling through the vehicle.

Understanding that there is a genuine risk of a fire in a work vehicle, carrying an appropriately secured fire extinguisher is not only practical; one day, it might even save a life.
