Autumn has started and I can’t wait to see the leaves change just like in this photo below 😍 one of my favourite moments in the year.

It’s a new month and a new season!

But what does that mean for your skin?

A change in season means a change in weather which means that often our skin changes too.

The autumn weather often brings a drier air which means our skin can start to get a bit drier, feel a bit rough and lack a bit of moisture.

Here are my top tips to help your skin through this weather change:

🍁 Change up your skincare routine
Just like we change up our clothes for the change in weather we also need to look at changing up our skincare.

Adding or increasing Essential Fatty Acids to your skincare routine is a good place to start!

🍁 Exfoliate
But don’t go crazy and start exfoliating daily 🙈 Once a week is plenty!!

And use a gentle exfoliant. My favs are:

Bare Roots Bamboo Enzyme Peel

🍁 Don’t forget your SPF!!
Cooler weather does not mean you can skip the sunscreen! Get into the habit of applying it daily - every morning at the end of your skincare routine.

Rain, Hail or shine! SPF every single day!!

🍁 Book in for a facial
Not only will it help your skin to adjust to the change in weather but it means I am able to change up your products if needed.

So whilst todays weather was definitely not autumn weather! Still start to keep an eye on your skin and how it is adjusting, especially over the next month.

🐶 Toby 🐶

This cute lil boy is Toby! I’m so grateful to have been able to capture these memories for Mel and Scotty.

Back in May 2021 Toby had to have surgery to remove a couple tumours, unfortunately after the surgery he eventually had a seizure. Thankfully he recovered really well and was able to live his fabulous puppy life.

Then I’m October 2021 Toby’s fur parents found another tumour which led to Toby having a toe amputated. After check ups with the vets he recovered really well.

This leads us to July 2022 when these photos were taken…

There was another tumour found on one of his paws, his parents were deciding what to do BUT before any decisions were made they wanted to get some family photos taken.

Luckily enough I took the photos the day I did as Toby had to be taken to the emergency vet that night in the hopes they could stop the uncontrollable bleeding that suddenly started. Which they managed to slow it so they could take him to their vet for emergency surgery ☹️

Not knowing what the outcome would be I know they were happy to get those memories captured.

Thankfully Toby is doing well now and living his best dogs days! 🧡

One thing to take away from this story is to capture any and all memories! You will value them in the future. Even if they aren’t professional photos, it’s still memories to cherish 🥰
