Another little trick to help with separation.

We call this a ‘Mummy flower’. My youngest is currently having a little trouble with morning drop off so this morning I drew us matching flowers on our hands - when each of us presses it, it sends the other a hug.

It works for us quite well, maybe it will work for you too 🌸❤️

I caught live last night and she smashed it!! 💥

I heard her self titled song for the first time and I was quite moved - the lyrics really spoke to me. They epitomise why I am so passionate about parenting and child development.

Every adult who sits on my couch carries within them their inner child - a child who, at best, suffers from chronic unmet needs and, at worst, is deeply and wounded 🌸

The work of therapy is to re-parent this inner child… together, we learn to acknowledge and grieve for what was missing, and how to put back what was needed.

This work is hard and long, but it is absolutely worth it. And even though I find my job incredibly rewarding….
