Tall Tree Early Learning - Subiaco

Kaya Tall Tree Subiaco community,

During the last few weeks, based on the children’s interest in painting and open-ended art play, the children were invited to participate in a science experience exploring colour mixing.

Children experimented with mixing two colours together, for example yellow and blue to create green. This experience supported not only creativity and curiosity, but also fine motor development, as the children used water droppers to encourage small muscle movements and hand coordination.

Younger children were also offered opportunities to manipulate age-appropriate and sustainable resources to further promote creativity, exploration, and small muscle development.

It has been wonderful to see the children engaged in exploring, predicting, and discovering through play.
