Rambo may be nervous of strangers handling him initially, but is such a kind, gentle dog social young boy!

There may be some resource guarding tendencies, so I would advise feeding separately if in a multi dog household - which is good preventative protocol anyway ☺️.

He’s looking for a new home. Currently being fostered by one of my lovely walkees 🥰🐾

❤️How to show up for your dog on the Bad Days - Winter/Spring Special❤️

Most of my clients are amazing. They know the importance of enrichment and daily walks, and do their absolute best to meet their fur child’s needs.

And they’re human. Life happens. News flash: it’s okay to give yourself a day off when you need it! Self care and canine welfare don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

So here’s some ideas for the bad day:

🐾PREP:

- Put aside cardboard boxes from your online deliveries, and those paper bags from your cheeky takeout meals.

- When you finish your yoghurt, pop the container in the freezer

- When you buy carrots, pop a couple in the freezer (sweet potato off cuts too if your pup likes them! Soak in beef broth beforehand for extra flavour).

- Give yourself an extra couple days before pulling those weeds and mowing that lawn. *Avoid any chemicals, and do hit the weeds before grass seeds come out.

🐾THE BAD DAY:

1) Brekky: Put Fido’s food in treat toys, in boxes, in paper bags. Hide them through the house for him. Release him to his treasure hunt!

2) You get home from work: Grab a handful of treats and toss them one at a time in the tall weeds for Fido to find. Kick back with your drink of choice and cheer like you’ve just seen the best moment in sporting history each time he sniffs one out!

3) Dinner: Scatter Fido’s dinner all through that overgrown lawn! He has to pace the full area of lawn, nose working overtime to hoover up dindins.

4) Bed time - pull out that frozen carrot, frozen yogurt tin, or a cow hoof/long lasting, choke safe chew. Give it to Fido to fall asleep munching/licking. Chewing calms a dog’s body and sets them up for a deep, cozy sleep. 🥰

**All of these can and should be adjusted to your dog. First attempts should always be super easy, with gradually increasing difficulty. The goal is to create a challenge that’s just easy enough to avoid frustration 🙂.
