Steampunk Art Journal Adventures created by our Queen of Mixed media 👑see below how she has made her breathtaking pages.

This steampunk-inspired art journal page was created using stencils to add texture and structure to the background. Chipboards and die-cuts bring dimension, while washi tape and paper scraps create layered details.

Wise quotes were added to complete the page, combining creative design with meaningful words.

See below how .scrapper has created her spectacular layout that she shares with us today with cute specimen slides to foliage and bugs.

This layout captures such a magical moment with my granddaughter exploring a field of wildflowers near our home. We had the most wonderful photoshoot together, and I treasure the fact that my grandchildren are always willing to pose for my photos. In this photo she is looking through a magnifying glass, which made it the perfect choice for this beautiful paper featuring the oversized printed magnifying glass design.
I created two generous floral clusters to frame the photo, filled with layered flowers, foliage, butterflies and tiny woodland details. Tucked amongst the blooms are the cutest little geckos peeking out, adding a playful touch to the nature theme. I love how all the little details work together to celebrate curiosity, wonder and the beauty of nature through a child’s eyes.
All the chipboard pieces were first primed with white acrylic paint and then painted using Americana Acrylic Paints. The Wordpl@y elements from the Entomology collection were lightly dry brushed with a sponge brush, carefully avoiding the engraved text so the words remained crisp and easy to read. The specimen slides were painted with cream acrylic paint, while the edges were finished with dark brown acrylic paint for a vintage effect. The tiny bugs were coloured using a black Posca Pen to help bring out all the intricate details.
To finish the layout, I added art stones and delicate white gesso splatters for extra texture and softness.
