It is with great appreciation and gratitude that we say farewell to Leanne Bridges, who has stepped down from Kiind's Board of Directors after many years of service.

Over the past 17 years, Leanne has made an extraordinary contribution to Kiind in a variety of roles. Since joining the Kiind community in 2009, she has supported countless families as a staff member, helped organise our annual family events, and provided invaluable leadership through her service on the Board as Secretary, Vice Chair and Director.

Through her passion, commitment and leadership, Leanne has played an instrumental role in shaping Kiind into the organisation it is today.

Leanne, thank you for your unwavering commitment, compassion and leadership. The impact you have had on our community and on the many families Kiind supports is truly lasting.

While we are sad to see you step away from the Board, we are incredibly grateful for all that you have given. We wish you every success and happiness in this next chapter. Please know you will always remain a valued part of the Kiind community.

We will continue cheering you on every step of the way đź’ś

We're at the Champion Centre NAIDOC Festival today!

The Kiind team is excited to be joining the community at the City of Armadale and Champion Centre's NAIDOC Festival, celebrating culture, connection and community.

There's plenty happening throughout the day, including a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony, traditional dance performances, live entertainment, face painting, a petting zoo, climbing walls, bungee trampolines, community stalls and so much more.

We'll be at the Bob Blackburn Reserve in Seville Grove from 10am - 3pm.

If you're attending, be sure to stop by our stall and say hello! We'd love to connect with families and share information about the supports and services available through Kiind.

Bring the whole family along for a day of connection and fun.

We look forward to seeing you there! 🖤💛❤️

The Senate Inquiry into the “Securing the NDIS for Future Generations” Bill has been extended by eight weeks.

The inquiry is now scheduled to report by Tuesday, 14 August 2026, which means the government’s original plan to pass the legislation by 30 June will no longer proceed within that timeframe.

This extension is a recognition of the widespread and powerful advocacy from people with disability, families, organisations and state governments.

While it is reassuring to know that there will be more time for the legislation to be considered, we understand that this delay may continue to create uncertainty for families. Please know that Kiind is here to support you during this time.

If you would like additional support, including exploring supports outside of the NDIS, you are welcome to connect with our Peer Navigation team by booking a free Pathway Planning session here: https://bit.ly/KiindPathwayPlanning
