🌏 The rest of the world is catching on... 💙

We've always known Western Australia is something special, and now the world is recognising it too.

Perth has officially been named one of the Top 20 Most Liveable Cities in the World in Monocle's Quality of Life Survey 2026 🙌

From our world-class beaches and endless sunshine to vibrant neighbourhoods, stunning natural landscapes and an incredible outdoor lifestyle, there's a reason we're proud to call WA home.

At Celebrate WA, we're lucky enough to spend every day celebrating the people, places and stories that make our State extraordinary.

So here's to Perth, and to every corner of Western Australia that makes living here so special 💙

We know it's the Best in the West... and it's great to see the rest of the world agree.

For 50 years, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. ❤️🖤💛

This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of NAIDOC Week while honouring the resilience, achievements and enduring contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It recognises the leaders who have shaped our communities and continue to inspire future generations.

At Celebrate WA, we're proud to celebrate the incredible Aboriginal leaders recognised through the 2026 Western Australian of the Year Awards.

Congratulations again to our 2026 finalists and winners:
💙 Professor Colleen Hayward AM – Wesfarmers Aboriginal Award Winner
💙 Elsta Foy – Wesfarmers Aboriginal Award Finalist
💙 Professor Rhonda Marriott AM – Wesfarmers Aboriginal Award Finalist
💙 Dr Daniel Hunt – Woodside Energy Professions Award Winner
💙 Stephen Michael – Channel 7 Sport Award Winner
💙 Tania Stevens – Chamber of Minerals & Energy WA Business Award Finalist

These outstanding recipients are part of a proud legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander finalists and winners recognised throughout the history of the Western Australian of the Year Awards. Together, they reflect the strength, leadership and lasting impact First Nations people continue to have across communities, industries and our State.

This NAIDOC Week, we celebrate your achievements, honour your legacy and thank you for helping shape the future of Western Australia.

💙 Thank You, Karratha 💙

What an incredible way to wrap up the WA Day Festival Tour.

From the moment the gates opened at Bulgarra Oval, the community showed up in force to enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music, family fun, connection and celebration.

There were kids exploring the Scitech activities, families lining up for rides, visitors climbing aboard the Nickol Bay Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade fire truck, and crowds enjoying great food, entertainment and plenty of festival fun 🤩

There were smiles, laughter, dancing, and plenty of moments that reminded us what makes regional Western Australia so special.

As the sun set and fireworks lit up the Pilbara sky, it was the perfect way to bring the festival to a close ✨

To everyone who joined us, volunteered, performed, supported the event or simply came along to celebrate with family and friends – thank you for being part of it.

And a special thank you to our presenting partners Woodside Energy and Rio Tinto, along with the WA Government and Lotterywest, for helping make this community celebration possible.

Take a look back at some of the highlights from a fantastic day in Karratha 🎥✨
