Today’s project!
We finished Hadley’s room today 🛹

He was so happy with himself.
Skateboard decals and animal dots placed by Hadley himself (except for the really high ones). Although even I couldn’t reach up to the ceiling so need to finish off when hubby gets home from fifo.

We had a fun weekend with the kids.
We finally got to go to the Paw Patrol stage show. Only took just over a year and 3 cancelations.
What got postponed or canceled due to covid for you guys?

I thought the kids wouldn’t enjoy it since they’re that much older but they got into the interactive parts of the show
Do your littles dance and show out the answers? Or are they quiet taking it all in?

International Cleft & Palate awareness week

I thought I’d share a little of Charlotte unilateral cleft lip journey.

We found out at our 20 week scan Charlotte had a Cleft lip. It is hereditary (my dads uncle & cousins have cleft lip) so I knew it could be a possibility.
The cheeky money made us do 12 scans to figure this out but until birth we couldn’t tell if she had lip or/ and palate?
At 3 months of age she had surgery on her lip (right side) and nostril.
She had to wear the arm splints to stop her from removing her stitches (she got these off every time no matter how tight we made them)
I wasn’t able to breastfeed for 3 weeks to reduce bruising or further scaring. She had to use a spoon bottle to feed in this time.
That was hard but well worth the outcome. It really didn’t phase her in the least bar extra wind.

She now has a yearly check up and if requires further surgery can be at age 8 and 16.
I doubt she’ll have any other
