Our first attempt at 3D printing a house model. If you cant picture your house from plans this can be a huge help. The roof comes off so you can see inside.

Did you know Hi Pages charge contractors (us) for every contact?
We get emails like this...... ‘ Mr X is looking for someone to give him a price to draw up an addition to his house’. The enquiry is free to Mr X but for us to answer we need to pay Hi Pages $33.
So as there is no facility for us to help Mr X without us paying first, we are not going to contact Mr X. But Mr X is not told this, so Mr X thinks no one is interested in his job.
If you have a question, please ask us directly and we will be happy to help.
To be clear we are happy to pay Hi Pages commission if it leads to a worthwhile job.

Got a client that has some factory units.

Recently put a change of use application in for one of his buildings. He gets a letter back from Council saying that certain aspects of the building and other buildings on the site never actually had planning permission. So we have to apply for retrospective planning permission.

Now the end of one of these buildings is 2850mm from the boundary (his own boundary to his own sites). It should be 3m. So we need to say its an existing building that was on the site when he bought it and he never measured it to find the encroachment and they will consider a relaxation. The Council know he owns the 5 adjoining sites and this one is in the middle. I think they would like him to amalgamate them but he doesn't want to as its expensive and time consuming. Talking to the Planning officer........”Oh and you will need written permission from all the neighbours”. Me... “are you joking our client owns the adjoining sites, hes hardly going to complain”?.

“Never the less we still need written consent from all neighbouring properties”.

“So your telling me he has to write a letter for the 3 adjoining properties, saying as the owner of Lots *** adjoining the site in question, I have no objections...etc”

“ No he has to write 3 separate letters of no objection, 1 for each site”.

I suppose they have to follow a procedure, but really how ridiculous.
