Today marks the winter Solstice in the southern Hemisphere.
Starting tomorrow we are technically building to summer, although as the rain and cold has really just started it might be some time before we are at the beach.

Its the Friday morning of Mothers Day week and we are almost there!
Today and tomorrow we will pick and bunch the last of the last few flowers in time for the weekend requirements.
We have been quiet on the socials of late due to the challenges with all things associated with caring for all these flowers and ensuring they flower on time for such an important event, pretty pics just were not a priority.
Back a few months ago we were planting the mothers day crops (and we didn't get to plant 100% of some due to constraints) and we had many internal conversations about not knowing how much if any of these flowers we would be able to harvest during this week.
I'm super proud of what our team has accomplished this week,
and the last few months. Many have multi tasked, been moved between departments to work on different crops and we even had the office staff bunching and packing orders.
I thank all our staff for everything they have helped achieve this week, We have some awesome people who love the challenge and reward of seeing all these flowers loaded into our trucks.
I thank all our customers for their patience and understanding during a massive week like this, its a huge challenge in a 'normal' year but i am very humbled and proud of what we have been able to achieve as a team this week with all the unknowns.
Good luck to all our customers for the next 3 days, Happy mothers Day in advance, we will all enjoy a drink and a well earned rest Sunday evening.

Today 8 years ago we almost lost everything. We have had a few fires over the years but this one was the quickest burning most intense fire we had seen in a long time!
