In between studying law, I recently watched Love Story, and it somehow turned into a full 90s reminisce.

I pulled out my old Anne Geddes photo albums for a brief trip down memory lane… and it reminded me there are probably still a few memories in undeveloped camera rolls somewhere.

I was so young in the 90s - and for me, it was pure fashion, fun, and experimenting with every trend imaginable: super thin eyebrows, pale faces until we worked out how to do makeup properly, and pencilled lips - which are back in!

It was a bit of modelling, which I wish I had pursued more, lots of travelling, shopping… and then shopping some more. Hosting events was definitely enjoyable - hosting is in my blood.

Fashion was always at the forefront. My bedroom was constantly filled with girlfriends while I did their hair, makeup, and styling. My wardrobe was regularly raided - a mix of streetwear and high-end.

There was a lot of Calvin Klein - my very first fashion designer book- Obsession - along with Moschino, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Prada on high rotation.

I remember exactly where I was when Gianni Versace passed. I cried. I still tear up.

I loved surf culture and soulful music. My bedroom walls were adorned with posters of Jim Morrison and Bob Marley, alongside endless surfing photographs. I even had the lyrics to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin pinned up - my dad glued my posters onto plywood so they wouldn’t bend.
Such a vibrant, expressive, fearless era ✨

Grateful for the memories, the creativity, and the girl I was becoming 🤍

If I could share one message with my younger self, it would simply be: listen to your intuition.
