Did you know? Clinical Trials Day marks the date of the world's first controlled clinical trial, conducted in 1747 by a naval surgeon named James Lind.

Fast-forward 278 years, and trials are how every medicine you've ever taken got onto your pharmacy shelf.

We asked one of our Senior Research Physicians at Linear, Dr Peter Schrader to reflect on his experience working in clinical trials and what continues to motivate him after nine years in the field:
