I don’t say this much, but credit where credit is due: I feel humbled, privileged and grateful to be part of the senior management of the African Development Bank Group at this time in Africa’s history. Several Liberians such as Dr.Romeo Horton and President William V.S Tubman were instrumental in the foundation of the African Development Bank in 1964. My parents knew them both and so I am honoured as a Liberian to be contributing to carrying forward the baton in my little way. The African Development Bank Group’s investment in regional infrastructure in Africa is the largest of any institution on this continent (yes larger than the World Bank too!) and our work in advancing regional integration across the board is unmatched. This makes the in me most proud and happy.
