North Perth Yoga Room
Your shoulders carry the week. This July, we spend a weekend setting them free.
The tight shoulders, the neck that won't fully turn, the upper-back ache you've filed under "normal" — none of it is permanent. It doesn't need a massage gun or a referral. It needs the right work, done in the right order.

Five minutes with your legs up the wall will do more for a tired body than an hour of trying to relax.
Here's why. You spend all day upright — standing, sitting, driving. Blood and fluid pool in the legs and the nervous system never quite clocks off. Turn yourself gently upside down and the whole system reverses.
The pose is Viparita Karani. Legs up the wall, a folded blanket under the hips, arms open. That's the whole instruction. It's a quiet inversion, and the research on these is striking: lower blood pressure, less fluid retention, a real drop in the body's background hum of stress.
Set up tonight before bed. Stay five minutes. Don't leap up afterward — sit a moment first, or you switch the alarm system straight back on.
One caution: skip the inversion if you're menstruating or fighting a headache.
This is the heart of Restorative class —the body properly supported to feel the warmth of an open heart. During a Perth winter, there's little the body wants more.

A lot of people come to yoga through a doorway they didn't expect.
A physio suggestion. A shoulder that won't settle. Knees that complain on stairs now. Years of sport that the body keeps a quiet record of.
Mobility & Stability class was built for exactly this. Not a gentle wind-down. A careful, deliberate practice that asks the body to find length and load-bearing again — the way it was designed to.
Ann's Sports Science degree plus 25+ years teaching Iyengar Yoga full-time, offers you a class environment that is both supportive and exceptional value for money.
If you've got a history — whether that's decades of running, a desk that owns you, or a back that's been quietly letting you know — this class is worth a look.
