In late September, BGC Contracting was requested by Northern Star Resources to perform critical re-handle movements from four different locations at their Jundee mine site.

To achieve this, our team at Ramone mobilised our existing mining fleet from the project, located approximately 34km away, across to Jundee.

The project spanned over six days and involved the transport of six dump trucks and an excavator. Utilising a 120t low loader float, a four-vehicle es**rt team, and adopted an “operator buddy process” at a steep switchback section of ramp that was single lane, the project was successfully closed out within the narrow time frame the team had to work within. What’s also important to note is that it was completed incident free which is an excellent achievement.

The success of this project showcases the agility, and dynamic capabilities of our mining business unit, going above and beyond to meet client needs.
