Clever Starfish

Since the inception of Clever, we're fans and supporters of the Arts in Western Australia. I wanted to share a project that was launched earlier this year by the WA Youth Theatre Company.

With COVID restrictions in place, Mollie Hewitt and James Berlyn had a vision to bring together an at-home theatre and performance making challenge driven online using a dedicated website, Zoom and content created, curated and delivered by experts including; James Berlyn, Andrea Gibbs, Kiruna Stamel, Zac James, Christopher Edmund, Libby Klysz, Hayley McElhinney, Ben Mortley, Claudia Alessi, Laura Boynes, Tim Watts, Stevie Cruz-Martin, Georgia Ivers and Jude McAuley.

Michel Ludwig from Kool Kreative offered to support in making this dream a reality by creating a dedicated brand - and our team put together a custom-built WordPress website to suit their needs.

This vision was borne and here we are...

Over a decade ago, Clever Starfish started working with Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD) on learning and teaching resources focused on the marine environment. We worked to create Marine WATERs (WA Teaching and Education Resources) back then in what we now call the 1.0 version. Last year, we were able to take the original concept and improve it - from idea to completion with them.

This is one of the websites we're so proud to have been nominated as a finalist for this weekend in the Australian Web Awards (Government Category). No matter whether we win or not, the project itself is one we're so proud of. The team were great to work with and the website has been well received by the public 🐟🐟
