Hope everyone has been getting some good practice in over the past week wherever you have been. Lancelin has been blowing its head off, Coronations and Margaret River same. Anyone got pics?

AN UNUSUAL SIGHT IN THE BAY

If you've been pondering what this structure is out on the reef west of Lancelin jetty, it's a judging platform for some of next week's Wind Festival events.

There will be plenty of activities around this event kicking off on Wednesday with the main windsurfing marathon on Saturday after 1pm.

Windsurfers, windfoilers and wingfoilers: Online registration for the new 2023 Lancelin Ocean Marathon will be closing at midnight this Sunday, 15 January.

Late registrations after Sunday will incur an additional $50 charge but no registrations will be taken on the day, so get in now to avoid being slugged extra.

If you are worried you might not be good enough to win, don't worry - there are categories for everyone from Open to Grand Master, Social to Legend.

Our team will be helping to run tryouts for the duration of the event. Get around it!!

We’ve got the kids covered!

If you're worried about what to do with the grommets while you are hitting the waves, don't worry - Lancelin has heaps of free things for kids to do plus we've organised daily supervised games such as dodge ball, cricket, volleyball and capture the flag, plus kids can try SUP’ing and windsurfing.

Registrations will be open each day at the park opposite the school, with limited numbers.
