😿😿 HELP US HELP HERBIE! 😿😿

It’s been a rough run here at 9 Lives financially.

Last thing we needed was a $4000 emergency bill but for Herbie we will do what it takes! 💰

Sweet Herbie has bad cat flu.
He is a 7 week old kitten recently brought into care as he was out in a colony and quite sick.

He was started on treatment last Friday but was not improving.
Another vet visit on Sat showed he had a very sore and swollen throat.
Some more medication and his throat seemed to be more comfortable which allowed him to eat.

Unfortunately on Monday Herbie’s breathing was not good plus he had stopped eating again so he was rushed to after hours where he was immediately placed on oxygen therapy 😲
Thankfully this helped him and he was able to come off oxygen by yesterday.

Herbie is still not eating though and his throat seems to be the reason but all tests can’t find a reason why except for swelling and discomfort from cat flu.

We ungently need the funds to pay back the loan for his treatment so far and for ongoing treatment.

Lily adores her food and quickly warms up to new people when treats are involved. While she isn't a lap cat and definitely doesn't consider herself a supermodel for the camera, she has her own special way of showing affection. A few gentle neck scratches, a comfy bed, and someone who understands her quiet nature are all it takes to make her happy.

She's very clean, well-mannered, and happiest living safely indoors or enjoying time in a secure outdoor enclosure. New environments can make her a little nervous at first, so she'll need a patient family willing to give her time to settle in and feel secure.
