Another tough day in the jurisdiction ‘I call home’.

There is a real lack of appreciation and sometimes entitlement for the lawyers that do Legal Aid work.

The pay is poor for the work, effort and commitment we put in. Often working 12 plus hours a day, 7 days a week. Clients offen think we do not have lives outside of being a Legal Aid lawyer.

But just occasionally, I have beautiful messages from parents and clients that appreciate the work I do.

‘We were so blessed to have you as ______lawyer . Thank you 🤩’
