Many women have been taught that caring means taking responsibility.
For everyone’s feelings.
Everyone’s happiness.
Everyone’s problems.
But caring and carrying are not the same thing.
You can love someone without rescuing them.
Support someone without solving everything.
Stand beside someone without taking over their journey.
Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is trust that other people are capable of carrying what belongs to them.
And perhaps that’s where peace begins.
Can you relate?

Have you ever wondered why making friends feels harder than it used to?
As children, friendship almost happened for us.
School.
Sport.
University.
The workplace.
Life naturally brought people together.
As adults, life looks different.
Time is limited.
Responsibilities are greater.
Everyone seems busy.
Connection doesn’t become less important as we get older.
If anything, it becomes more important.
It just asks more of us than it used to.
Have you found this too?

Have you ever noticed how much friendships can change once your children leave school?
For years, your lives naturally overlapped.
School gates.
Weekend sport.
Birthday parties.
The quick chat after assembly.
Then almost overnight, that season ends.
The routines disappear.
Children become teenagers or adults.
Life moves in different directions.
And sometimes friendships quietly change too.
Not because anyone argued.
Not because anyone stopped caring.
Simply because the season that brought you together came to an end.
Perhaps that’s one of the quieter griefs of midlife.
Not losing people…
But realising that some relationships naturally belong to a particular chapter of your life.
And that doesn’t make them any less meaningful.
