PLD Promoting Literacy Development

Due to strong interest, PLD’s Trade Up Offer has now been extended until June 30th, 2026.

Schools and educators can receive a $20 credit for every eligible PLD printed book returned to use towards our new Integrated SSP Kits.

Designed to save time with planning and strengthen consistency across classrooms, the SSP Kits provide a complete, structured approach to literacy instruction.

The kit manuals include:
• Timesaver phonic lists integrated and linked to the phonic dictation passages.
• Daily Reviews prepared, so no more PPT creation.
• Catch-Up programs and additional tasks for Tier 2 and 3 students
• Integrated vocabulary scripted definitions
• Hard copies and lifetime digital access for purchases made before 30 June

Kits are available from Early Years to Year 6, along with a dedicated Support Kit for Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention.

How the Trade Up Offer works

Effective Structured Synthetic Phonics (SSP) implementation relies on timely, consistent tracking. Completing your tracking sheets at key points in the term gives you clear insight into student progress and helps you plan targeted teaching with confidence.

Recommended timing:
• Year 1–6: Week 10 of each term, during school holidays, or Week 1 of the new term
• Early Years & Foundation: Mid-term or end of term

Keeping tracking up to date means you can quickly identify needs, adjust groups, and maintain momentum across the year.
