Today marks the start of Infant Mental Health Awareness Week. Research shows it's never too early to nurture your baby’s emotional wellbeing.

Even in the earliest months, babies are developing their own unique personalities, needs and ways of communicating. And just like us, they can have off days too!

In this clip from our podcast, Registered Psychologist Darya shares a reassuring message for parents: “Sometimes babies also just have a day… and it’s not you, and you haven’t done anything wrong.”

If you’ve ever worried about your child or felt unsure, you’re not alone, and support is available.

Ngala offers a range of free services to support West Australian families. You can speak to our team for guidance on 08 9368 9368, or visit:

You can also learn more by listening to our Parenting With Ngala episodes featuring Darya, which explore social and emotional development in babies under 12 months, and gain practical insights to support your little one.
