Today we were fortunate to welcome Greg from Indigenous Tours WA for a wonderful cultural incursion with the children.
Greg shared his knowledge and insights into Aboriginal culture, helping the children gain a deeper understanding of traditions, storytelling, and the importance of caring for Country. A strong focus was placed on sustainable practices and how these have been respectfully embedded in Aboriginal ways of living for thousands of years.
The children were highly engaged as they explored, asked questions, and participated in hands-on learning experiences that made the learning both meaningful and memorable. Experiences like this help foster respect, curiosity, and appreciation for the world around us.
We are grateful for opportunities that connect children with First Nations culture in such an authentic and interactive way.

This week, we have been celebrating National Families Week and recognising the important role families play in children’s lives and development ❤️
Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed engaging in a variety of meaningful experiences that encouraged connection, identity, and belonging. We have loved creating our very own family tree, making self-portraits, and sharing family photos with one another as we talked about the special people in our lives.
The children also enjoyed reading stories about different families from around the world, helping us to celebrate diversity and learn that every family is unique and special in its own way 🌏📚
It has been wonderful to see the children proudly sharing stories about their families and building a deeper understanding of kindness, inclusion, and belonging within our learning environment 🥰
