A modern day Shirley Valentine and if you know what that means you need to read this book, if you don't you need to read this book. For women of all ages but especially for women who know the M word and what the letters HRT mean, this book is joyous and uplifting. ❤️

This little girl aged five was born in 1932 and is my mother. She gave me the love for books, taught me how to read and encouraged me to write stories. She taught me The Owl and Pussycat, Betty Botter and showed me the wonders of a library. Without her love of the written word and it being such an important part of my childhood, I may not be the writer I am today. She was a teacher for 30 years and loved bright clothes, craft, painting, drawing, Paddington Bear and Snoopy, and her family and her cats. Later in life she became a fan of bingo and dominos. A week ago my mother passed away peacefully in her sleep and will be missed by all the people who knew and loved, but just for a moment I wanted the world to know who she was. 🦋❤️
