Freelance does not mean free work :-)

As it happens, I do occasionally work for free or heavily reduced costs. There are four NFP groups I currently maintain free of charge and a couple more at base cost only as they are either groups connected to my family, or those I align with ethically and wish to support. And parental work is of course off the books!

However, it is worth reminding all customers that if you have an I.T. issue appear midnight on a Saturday or in the middle of a family event.... Yes, I'll fix it if I'm able, I take care of my clients and have a close relationship with most. However! It will be included on your monthly invoice, and free work will have to wait until I have a spare spot.

I enjoy my work, but in the end I work to pay the bills and the reason that you need midnight fixes is that you acknowledge the importance of what I do for your business :-)
