Hi Folks
We are open today and tomorrow for business as usual.
However this will be the last weekend we will be opening for a few months. We need to extend the nursery space and this is becoming too difficult and dangerous to do while we are open.

We have had a few instances of unsupervised kids going into the paddocks with the animals or into the house yard with the Geese, both of which could have ended badly for the kids and our animals. I cant watch kids and talk to customers at the same time.

I have spent many days and nights stressing over how to prevent this from happening and the only solution I can come up with is to remove the risk all together.

As we both work elsewhere, we only have 2 days a week we can work on the renovation so it will take some time.

I am working on a website to have online sales, this will also take some time to get up and running.

BUT we are still here so if you do want to come and have a look through please send me a message and we can arrange a time.

Kind Regards
Renee & Simon

These traps are horrid.

A sticky situation!

This Singing Honeyeater is very lucky to be alive. He was admitted to the WA Wildlife Hospital this week after he was caught by a Cat. On inspection, our triage team discovered he was also covered in a very sticky substance which had glued a lot of his feathers together, preventing his escape. This was most likely adhesive from a glue trap.

Glue traps are pieces of cardboard or fiberboard covered in an adhesive substance designed to trap rodents or insects that come into contact. Unfortunately, these traps are indiscriminate and can cause a slow painful death for wildlife species that might also become trapped. The WA Wildlife Hospital receives a number of patients stuck in these traps each year, including small birds, small marsupials, native rodents and lizards. Some patients could not be salvaged due to exhaustion, severe feather damage or broken limbs from the struggle.

Please spread the word to warm others of the dangers these traps pose to our native wildlife.
