I KNOW THE PHOTOS DON’T MATCH THE DESCRIPTIONS! ☺️

I just had some lovely photos from around the garden that I really wanted to share in this post. So don’t come for me! ☺️

And then take a deep breath out, because the feeding regime is slowing down for the winter ❄️

There is significantly less fruit trees and berries to feed at the start of the dormancy period in the garden. Potted trees and berries will still need regular feeding though, so make sure to get to your potted strawberries and citrus 🍋

In winter we use pruning to drive energy into the root ball of our plants, rather than fertiliser and feed.

So take the chance to slow down, or to plant out more flower seeds ready for spring!

THESE ARE MY FAVOURITES 💚

There are plenty of fruit trees that can grow productively in large pots, perfect for renters or people with a small backyard.

These are the 5 fruit trees that I’ve grown in pots the most successfully. They have some natural qualities that make them suitable for pot growing - small but productive when pruned, or can tolerate less water 💦

Over the next week we will be talking about potted fruit trees and berries and how to set yourself up for success by choosing the best varieties for this kind of planting.

I’m excited! 😜
