Emergency call out for Water Corporation. Tree stump removal handled the right way.
Ben and Jamie were out in the KingVac 11000 this week assisting Water Corp with the safe removal of a tree stump as part of an urgent job.
Tree stumps are notoriously tricky to remove. The root systems extend far wider and deeper than most people realise, often wrapping around or intertwining with underground services like water mains, gas lines, electrical cables, and stormwater pipes. Traditional removal methods like grinding or mechanical extraction can quickly turn an already difficult job into an expensive disaster if those services get damaged in the process.
This is where vacuum excavation comes into its own. Using pressurised water to break up the soil and high powered suction to remove the spoil, our team can carefully expose the stump and surrounding root system without striking any utilities below. Once the area is cleared, the stump can be safely extracted or treated without risk to the surrounding infrastructure.
For Water Corp jobs especially, this approach is critical. The last thing you want during an emergency callout is to compound the problem by hitting a service line. Vacuum excavation keeps the worksite safe, the surrounding utilities protected, and the job moving forward without unnecessary delays.
The KingVac 11000 is built for jobs exactly like this. With 8000 litres of debris capacity and serious vacuum power, it handles tough conditions and large volumes with ease.
Great work from Ben and Jamie keeping things safe and efficient onsite.

iVac WA is proud to announce our sponsorship of Kirra Ruston , the undefeated Australian Light Heavyweight Champion.
Kirra is now 9-0 with 9 knockouts, having just secured another stoppage win against Berkay Varol via third round TKO at Newcastle Entertainment Centre. Every single one of his professional fights has ended inside the distance, a testament to his finishing power and discipline.
Originally from Perth, Kirra has been making serious waves in Australian boxing, claiming the Australian Light Heavyweight title in just his fifth pro fight. He represents the values we stand behind as a business. Hard work, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of being the best in his field.
Supporting local talent matters to us. Kirra is putting Perth and Australian boxing on the map, and iVac WA is proud to back him as he continues to rise through the rankings.
Big things ahead. Keep an eye out 🥊

Drain cleans at Guildford Grammar School with our compact mobile unit.
Rudy and Ben were onsite this week tackling drain maintenance across the school grounds, using one of our smaller trailer mounted units to get the job done efficiently.
Not every job needs a full size vacuum truck, and that is exactly why we run a diverse fleet. This compact mobile unit is built for situations where access is tight, where surfaces need protecting, or where a heavy truck simply cannot manoeuvre. Schools, heritage sites, narrow laneways, residential properties, and tight commercial spaces all benefit from this approach.
The trailer unit gives us the same powerful suction performance in a much more nimble package. We can get into courtyards, around buildings, and across paved or grassed areas without causing damage to the surroundings. For a site like Guildford Grammar with established trees, brick paving, and historic architecture, this kind of careful approach is exactly what is needed.
This is one of the things that sets iVac WA apart. Whether the job calls for our largest combo trucks handling major civil infrastructure, mid sized vacuum trucks for general excavation work, or compact trailer units for tight access maintenance, we have the right gear for the job. No project is too big or too small.
Always a pleasure working with the team at Guildford Grammar.

Precision excavation at Warradarge Wind Farm.
Our team, Andy and Ryan, were onsite exposing high voltage and low voltage conduits for RJE as part of the new substation installation.
When you're working around electrical infrastructure, especially HV cables, there's no room for error. Traditional excavation methods risk striking and damaging critical utilities, which can lead to major delays, safety incidents, and costly repairs. Vacuum excavation gives us the control needed to safely expose these conduits without any contact or damage.
The crew carefully located and uncovered the cable runs, allowing the electrical contractors to proceed with confidence knowing exactly what they're working with and where everything sits.
This type of work is what vacuum excavation was built for. Safe, precise, and efficient exposure of underground utilities on projects where accuracy matters.
Warradarge Wind Farm is a significant renewable energy project for WA, and we're proud to support the infrastructure that makes it possible.
