This National Reconciliation Week, we reflect on the importance of listening, learning and walking together.

The 2026 theme, All In, reminds us that reconciliation is everyoneโ€™s responsibility and that meaningful change happens when we all play a part.

At VTS, we are proud to work alongside First Nations students and communities across Western Australia through foundation skills programs, vocational training and community-based learning opportunities that support confidence, connection and future pathways.

We see every day the value of creating safe, supportive learning environments where people feel respected, heard and empowered to achieve their goals.

This week, we encourage everyone to take time to learn more about our shared histories, cultures and communities and to consider how we can all contribute to reconciliation in meaningful ways.

When Cyclone Narelle came calling, our Carnarvon team didn't hesitate. ๐ŸŒ€

Our staff and students came together over the weekend to help prepare our Carnarvon office โ€” sandbags at the doors, towels along the thresholds and a whole lot of community spirit.

We're proud of this crew. Thinking of everyone across Carnarvon and Exmouth who was impacted. ๐Ÿ’›

Two participants at our Derby training venue recently cleared their court fines through the Work and Development Permit (WDP) Scheme while attending:

โ€ข 52878WA Certificate I in Leadership
โ€ข Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program

They preferred to remain anonymous, but their achievement highlights the positive impact education and training can have.

Through learning, they gained skills, confidence and a fresh start.

VTS is proud to support the WDP Scheme and help community members move forward through training.

If you have unpaid fines, speak with your support worker or local service provider about the Work and Development Permit Scheme and how education and training may help.
