Pygmy Mussel in Dark Night claiming 5/6 bag fish on the weekend in the winning bag for the Wa Tournament Anglers Kayak Grand Final held on the Blackwood River!

Has to be my favourite venue for throwing the Pygmy Mussel, from shallow flats, reefy points, tea trees, lay downs and everything in between the bream there seem to love them!

Some awesome feedback from using the new Tungsten Chin Weights to help adjust the action of a swim bait while fishing for some big brown trout! One of the The Bream Fishing Project Collective members who managed to get their hands on the weights before they hit stores over the next week.

"I fished your chin weights today from the collective sponsors pack and was stoked with the results! I haven’t been able to fish them for bream yet but so far they seem great on the big browns! I added the weights on the front hook of a small biiwa swim bait! Definitely helped control the lure as well as gain some more action in the faster water!"

Super excited to see what other ways anglers will be using them on existing lures!

The heavy Micro Mussel in Dark Night took out first place in the last weekend for SA and Southern WA! One of a handful of fish pulled from an isolated rock clump that had bream feeding over the top of it, with the key being to leave the Mussel in the zone for as long as possible.

Such an awesome online competition run for a great cause as well! It has always been an excellent reason to book a trip away, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. Looking forward to fishing it again for many years to come.

Dark Night Pygmy Mussel in heavy accounting for some solid fish in deeper current lines. Letting the lure bounce over structure with small hops of the rod waiting for the tell-tale rattle of a bream trying their best to crunch the lure.

Love it when they fill the entire ruler! Good fish from a slow day on the water, fishing the Muddy Bank Pygmy Mussel in light the line went tick! Just under 40cm to the fork, a well conditioned Swan River Spring time fish!
