When we hear that “the hospital system is broken”, we really need to be looking at what a hospital is… it is a business. Anytime someone profits from your health, you should be questioning the motives. The hospital system isn’t broken, it is functioning exactly as it was designed to… it is a business, making money 😢

It is birth trauma awareness week and for those that know me you will know that this is where my passion and energy are directed. 1 in 3 women will experience birth trauma... That is ONE IN THREE.... how are people not infuriated by this??

It is not acceptable that after child birth a woman is told "Well at least you and your baby are alive". This statement is endemic of the western medical system; it is tunnel vision at it's finest in a health system that is based on a business model.

Women cannot mother, partner or exist to their full potential when they come away from child birth traumatised. Child birth is the right of passage from maiden to mother, history shows us the importance of this transition. Women become powerful, they learn the wisdom of their instinct and they learn to ROAR during this transition.

To imply that just being alive is all there is too it... augh, it is unacceptable. To all of the beautiful women out there who have experienced birth trauma, you are not alone, you are not forgotten and you are not broken.
