Telco Tip 15 – Expensive Phone Systems

The number of overly expensive phone systems on the market is extraordinary.

Time and time again we come across customers who have received a quote on the new phone system that is 5-6x the cost of our standard pricing!

Think about that – for a phone system we would sell to our client for $5,000 they are paying upwards of $30,000 for a system that in many times have less functionality than the systems we supply. This is not intended to be a sales pitch, but simply to highlight the fact that this does exist throughout the business and corporate market.

If you receive a proposal for a new system that your gut tells you is far more expensive than you were expecting, then our advice is to request an itemised quote rather than just a list of items and a total price at the bottom. If your salesperson gives you any indication they are uneasy to provide the requested breakdown that should be a giant red flag and you should definitely start looking at comparative quotes!
