What does a Plan Manager actually do? 🤔
It's one of the questions we're asked most often.
Many people know that a Plan Manager "pays invoices" but there's much more to the role than that.
The NDIS sets clear expectations for what a Plan Manager is responsible for. Our role is to help participants get the most from their funding while ensuring claims are processed in line with the NDIS rules and the participant's plan.
Our scope per the NDIS falls into 5 steps:
✅ Step 1: Understand your participant's plan
We review the plan to understand how funding has been allocated and any specific conditions that apply.
✅ Step 2: Understand our responsibilities as your Plan Manager
We apply the NDIS requirements to ensure claims are appropriate, compliant and aligned with the purpose of the funding.
✅ Step 3: Pay service providers
We process compliant invoices promptly and maintain accurate payment records.
✅ Step 4: Prepare monthly reports and statements
Participants receive regular statements so they can easily keep track of their funding and spending.
✅ Step 5: Help participants change Plan Managers
If a participant wishes to move to or from Manage Mode (or better yet move to Manage Mode), we help make the transition as smooth as possible.
At Manage Mode, we believe great plan management is about more than processing payments. It's about providing guidance, maintaining the integrity of the NDIS, and giving participants confidence that their funding is being managed with care.
