Celebrating NAIDOC Week Through Learning 🌿

This week, our children have been exploring and celebrating the rich cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

As part of our activities, the children are learning about the Aboriginal Flag and Torres Strait Islander Flag, discovering the significance of their colours and the stories they tell. They’ve also explored a variety of traditional Indigenous symbols, learning how symbols have long been used to share stories, represent people, places and journeys, and connect communities to Country.

Through these experiences, the children are developing an appreciation for Australia’s First Nations cultures while building respect, curiosity and an understanding of the importance of culture, identity and belonging.

We are proud to provide opportunities for children to learn about and celebrate the world’s oldest continuing cultures in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.
