The Sun’s Kiss is an evocative composition interwoven with a powerful reading of Kahlil Gibran’s A Tear and a Smile. It opens with sparse, melancholy chords that create a sense of stillness and emotional suspension, allowing the words to surface with clarity and weight. As the piece unfolds, shimmering guitars bloom, adding colour, texture and momentum.

In dialogue with Gibran’s meditation on joy and sorrow, the music mirrors that same tension between light and shadow: delicate melodic fragments drift in and out, building into a luminous, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The result is a reflective, immersive work in which spoken word and sound move together—like a tear and a smile—toward a quiet, cathartic release.
