Something interesting from the archives.. Hemi port molds. One with chamber and one with manifold runner.

I feel the need to put this one to rest.. lately I’ve been fielding questions from people about Water V***r Pressure.. is it included in Alky Pro, should we be looking at it as a separate thing, is it something unique that can help racers tune to conditions ?
The answer to all the above is NO.
Water V***r Pressure is already used in the calculations that Alky Pro does to provide the engine with the right amount of fuel to suit prevailing weather conditions. It’s fully accounted for, and the correction factors calculated and applied have been shown to be extremely accurate.
Then should we look at it separately ? Well we already do. You see Water V***r Pressure is essentially a measurement of the actual water content of air. So is Water Grains (grains of water v***r per pound of dry air). The 2 numbers are directly related, change together and represent the same thing. But because V***r Pressure is usually a fractional number, Water Grains is an easier number to understand and relate to, and that’s why racers settled on it many years ago. It’s the same thing represented in different units, and the ‘standard’ used by Drag Racers is Water Grains. So.. it’s a bit like doing your tyre pressures in PSI vs kPa. The numbers are different, but they both represent exactly the same thing. Alky Pro informs the user of the current Water Grains.
Here’s a quote from a scientific website to put it all in perspective: “Grains per pound and v***r pressure are directly related, specific humidity measurements that ‘move in unison’. Changes in grains per pound are ‘directly proportional’ to those of v***r pressure.”
OK.. a final check in case you’re not convinced. I put the calculations into Excel with a progressively increasing Barometric Pressure and Temp and graphed the results. Because the v***r pressure numbers are much lower, I simply multiplied them all by a constant of 152 so that the line sat just above the Water Grains number. Yep.. same thing. Don’t let anyone confuse you. (The green line is humidity)

Crawford re-stock has arrived.. drop-in nozzles, screw-in nozzles, drop-in adapters, jets and jet kits.
These nozzles and jets are much more accurate, so when you make a change you get the result you expected.

Two more Pro Barrel Valves ready to go. Precise independent adjustment of Idle and Stage fuel volume really makes tuning a lot easier. Users have said it's more responsive coming into the burnout and easier to stage as a bonus.
