Happy to share the second publication from my PhD, establishing the reliability and profiling of physical performance tests in AFLW athletes!

This is the only study presenting the reliability of these commonly performed tests for the current AFLW athlete environment, where we found good to excellent reliability outcomes ✅️

First season in the books as Lead Physical Performance Coach for the Female Pathways Squad at the South Australian Cricket Association

What a season it's been with 4 interstate trips, countless trainings and games, working with a collective group of 40 female pathways athletes, and some unforgettable experiences. An incredible staff team in .harriss .physio and Lauren Ebsary to work with throughout this season, establishing high-performance standards and supporting these athletes to continue developing.

We've worked through some incredible achievements this season:
✅️ ZERO soft tissue injuries after both age group National Championships
✅️ establishing the Academy squad to develop top age athletes seeking professional contracts
✅️ ALL athletes obtaining PBs across strength, power, speed, or endurance physical performance tests
✅️ 7-10 female pathway athletes selected in Second XI squads, 2 representing Australia in the U19s team, 5 in team of the tournament across U16 and U19s championships and 4 selected in the Lanning Perry Series

I've taken away some big learnings throughout this season, being my first as a lead S&C coach. Thankful for all the support from the SSSM team and coaching staff at the SACA, all working to an elite standard across all facets of this high performance sport environment.

Can't wait to see what next season brings! 🏏💪
