It was a great privilege to lay a wreath at the ANZAC Day ceremony at the Murrumbeena Football Netball Club. Excellent speakers, lovely atmosphere, and a great match-up against St Paul’s McKinnon. Lest We Forget.

A special Sebby’s Scroll to celebrate my birthday - what a perfect way to kick off the day. I’ve become a regular now, their scrolls are incredible. Every month they come out with a new scroll, but as a creature of habit I tend to always find myself sticking to the traditional scroll.

We are so lucky to have local business like this in Glen Eira. Happy weekend 😇 Sebby’s Scrolls

It’s a lovely Saturday afternoon at Murrumbeena Park. Great footy, great weather, and an even better community coming together. ☀️

Top-tier company from Steve Dimopoulos MP, electric vibes of the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL and great music from Normie Rowe.

We are so lucky to live in the best city in the world.😇

Last night I spoke about our 2026 State Election advocacy priorities.

In Murrumbeena Ward, which falls within the Oakleigh electorate, we are calling for investment in local infrastructure which our community desperately needs. We are advocating for:

➡️ $500k to support Council’s delivery of a multipurpose netball basketball court at Murrumbeena Park.

➡️ $1.6M to develop new open space in Ames Avenue, Carnegie. We have already invested $2.6M for land purchase and demolition.

➡️ $2.2M for the renewal of the Carnegie Library and Community Centre.

➡️ $350k to upgrade the existing school crossing on Neerim Rd, Murrumbeena, to improve pedestrian safety.

You can find out more about our advocacy priorities here: https://www.gleneira.vic.gov.au/get-involved/advocacy

You, the community, will continue to play a vital role in advocating to candidates this State election for increased investment in our neighbourhoods. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Attending citizenship ceremonies is one of the best parts of being a Councillor. 🇦🇺

Over 170 Glen Eira residents became Australian citizens last week.

I am so proud of the rich cultural diversity we enjoy in Australia. It makes our community so much stronger and more beautiful. ❤️

Last night at the Persian Awards Night we celebrated so many impressive and inspiring leaders in fields including Science and Technology, Media, and Culture and Literature.

Clare O’Neil MP, Peter Khalil MP, Senator Raff Ciccone and other State and Federal MPs presented awards and spoke beautifully about the enduring struggle for peace and liberation in Iran.

A big thank you to my very good friends, the Hosseini family, for inviting me. You are all such fierce advocates for your community and I thank you for everything you do.

As much as last night was a night of celebration, we must acknowledge the hardship the Persian community is currently facing. They came together in unity and in strength hoping for peace and freedom.
