Following on from our little series of design statements…

This one hurts a bit. Because sometimes the best part of a client's block of land is already there. A view doesn’t have to be oceanfront or wildly dramatic to matter. Sometimes it’s just a patch of green that makes the kitchen feel less like a task station. Or a bit of sky that stops a bedroom from feeling like a box with pillows.

Good design is noticing what the site is already offering before we start bossing it around with walls. Because once the house is built, the view doesn’t disappear; it's just outside waiting... unframed.
