Today marks 9 years of Revive The Regent! Thank you all for helping keep this community strong. We still receive emails, calls and messages with interest in Mudgee's theatre.

We are proud to have worked with many talented people over the years to lobby for the theatre's protection. Some of our biggest milestones include:

📄 Working to achieve State Heritage Listing for the Theatre which was completed in partnership with National Trust, LSJ Architects

🏆 Being awarded a National Trust Heritage Award for Advocacy in 2019

🎬 Screening 'Mudgee and it's Regent Theatre' by Professor Ross Thorne to the public for the first time

🖐️ Working to stop the Hotel DA in 2017which would have seen the part demolition of the Theatre which was not all inline with the town's reputation for heritage, conversation and community values. This campaign continued all the way to Land & Environment Court in 2019.

Hiring Lucas Stapleton Johnson & Partners, architects and heritage advisors, was the best thing we could have done to stop the high rise hotel and thank you to everyone who helped donate to these costs.

Thank you to who supported our work and we shall continue to watch over the progress of its restoration. We're just glad there's still a theatre instead of a multi-story hotel. We look forward to seeing it revived inline with the heritage, conversation and community values that helped to protect it. ✨
