The first six weeks after an ACL reconstruction are often the hardest — and usually not for the reason people expect.⠀

We sat down with Nick, who’s been working through his ACL rehab, to talk honestly about what that process actually looks like from the inside.⠀

The early phase wasn’t defined by the knee. It was the mental side: going from full training to starting over, and sitting with that uncertainty. It’s one of the most under-discussed parts of ACL recovery, and it’s completely normal.⠀

What tends to shift things is progress you can see. Strength building week on week. Confidence returning gradually rather than all at once. ⠀

And objective testing — because measurable numbers give you something honest to anchor to on the days motivation runs low, and they keep the hard work accountable.⠀

This isn’t a “run the floor” role — we want someone who elevates our athlete development and rehab programs, not just supervises them.⠀

Open to the right person from any background — hired on ability, not title:⠀
• Strength & Conditioning Coach⠀
• Exercise Physiologist⠀
• Exercise Scientist⠀
• Physio who loves coaching the gym floor⠀

🏋️ THE GIG⠀
• Casual, ~10–12 hrs/week to start⠀
• Mon, Wed & Fri afternoons⠀
• Morningside, Brisbane⠀
• Rate negotiable on experience & ability⠀

👉 Coach S&C and athlete rehab in our semi-private sessions⠀
👉 Run performance testing on world-leading VALD equipment⠀
