July is Disability Pride Month ๐Ÿ’ซ

While it is not as common to celebrate it here in Australia (though it is growing each year) it is an important month for people living with disabilities. More than 4 million Australians have a disability, which is around 20% of the population.

The disability pride flag represents:
โค๏ธ Red-physical disabilities
๐Ÿ’› Yellow-Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
๐Ÿค White-Non Visible & undiagnosed Disabilities
๐Ÿ’™ Blue-Psychological Disabilities & Mental Health
๐Ÿ’šGreen-Sensory Disabilities
๐ŸฉถGrey background- Mourning and Remembrance
