Known for its jaw-dropping architecture, Philippa Holmes' job at Mona involves custodianship of its buildings and working with a remarkable team on the year-round chaos (she calls it fun) of exhibitions and festivals that keep the place ticking.

With a seemingly endless pipeline of inspiring building and legacy projects — all testament to the vision and courage of the boss — there’s never a dull moment.

A proud Tasmanian, Philippa spent five years in the UK and — aside from a bit of time spent mucking out pig-pens on a family farm — worked on major hospitality events including the Paris Air Show, Silverstone Grand Prix, Ryder Cup and Wimbledon.
