The Australian Sports Foundation is delighted to announce the ASF Active Kids Grant is back for 2026, thanks to the generous support of The Dickinson Foundation, with applications now open.

Volunteer-run community sports clubs in Makin can apply for kit and equipment they need to help more young Australians aged 20 years and under participate in sport.

This Australia Day, 26 January, we acknowledge and thank the Australians who selflessly give their time in service of others, helping to make our nation strong and inclusive.

On 14 December, our nation was shocked and deeply saddened by a cowardly and heartless act. It was difficult to believe such an event could occur in Australia, a country built on fairness and proud of its multicultural identity.
Today, Australia observes a National Day of Mourning to honour the victims and all those affected by the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.
Members of the public are invited to observe one minute of silence at 7:01 pm AEDT on 22 January 2026 to remember those impacted.
